Football Wraps Up 5-Star Recruiting Class
Recent Penn State football news headlines feature a look at the Lions' 2018 recruiting class and LaVar Arrington's personal welcome to Micah Parsons.
The Lions wrapped up a top-5 recruiting class last week with the late addition of four-star offensive tackle Rasheed Walker to a group that finished with 23 commits. That class was James Franklin's best ever at Penn State. It also brought into focus the program's national title hopes.
The most highly acclaimed member of the Lions' class is already on campus and has a new assigned number. Five-star linebacker/defensive end Micah Parsons will wear the No. 11 jersey Arrington made famous during his standout career. Arrington welcomed Parsons to "Stick City" and gave him a personal message through Fight On State's Mark Brennan.
In other Penn State football news, the Lions add another quarterback prospect. Lamont Wade moves from cornerback to safety, and Penn State offers a 2020 tight end prospect.
